At the University of Houston we are extremely proud of our 300 student-athletes, our very professional and experienced coaching staff, our medical and academic support personnel, and the more than 100 other men and women who help to create and maintain an athletic program that is valued by the university and its alumni.

We are equally proud of our long and distinctive athletics history. To build on this success, we are committed to creating a supportive community which fosters the intellectual, spiritual, emotional, social and physical growth of our student-athletes while also striving to produce teams and individuals who are dedicated to athletic competition and outstanding performance. As we strive to create these valuable experiences and move into a promising future, our primary focus on academic excellence remains constant.

To achieve all these goals, Cougar Pride is determined to raise significant scholarship dollars to facilitate our pursuit of excellence - beginning with the recruitment of distinguished student-athletes and extending to intercollegiate competition.
