The much-anticipated addition to Cougar Softball, Houston's youngest intercollegiate athletic program, was the completion of Cougar Softball Stadium prior to the 2002 season. The $2.4 million complex sports home locker rooms, laundry facilities and a press box which includes separate radio and television booths. The NCAA-regulation field has a top-quality infield and outfield, and seats up to 1,200 softball fans in comfortable chairback seating in the lower bowl, concessions areas and accessible parking.
