May 7, 2008 IRVING, Texas - Eleven University of Houston student-athletes were awarded the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal for the 2007-08 academic year, Commissioner Britton Banowsky announced on Wednesday. They join a group of 334 student-athletes from the conference. The medals are awarded to C-USA student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better. The total number student-athletes who received the medal increased by more than 4 percent over the past year, according to the conference office. Tulsa had the most medal winners with 41 and was followed by Memphis (38), SMU (37), and East Carolina (36). 2008 C-USA Academic Medal Winners Baseball
