BASEBALL
Last Week
Houston Baseball won its series at No. 18 UConn, 2-1, to clinch at least a share of the American Athletic Conference Regular-Season Title. With the series win, the Cougars enter the final week of the regular season at 31-20 overall and 16-8 in The American.

Houston swept the Friday doubleheader at No. 18 UConn, winning 6-5 and 10-1 … With the two wins, the Cougars claimed at least a share of The American Regular-Season Title for the second-straight season … Houston now has five titles in the last five years … Of those five tiles, three have been in the regular season (2018, 2017, 2015) … Houston has now won back-to-back regular-season titles for the first time since winning the 1999 and 2000 Conference USA titles … With 31 wins, the Cougars eclipsed the 30-win plateau for the sixth-straight year … For his efforts in Game 2 of the season, junior Aaron Fletcher earned his third Pitcher of the Week laurel from The American … Fletcher tossed seven innings, allowing just one run with no walks and five strikeouts … Junior designated hitter Joe Davis was named to The American Weekly Honor Roll … Davis led the Cougars at the plate, going 6-for-14 (.429) with two doubles, two home runs, four RBI and four runs scored … On Tuesday, Houston faces Rice in the final game of the Silver Glove Series … The series is tied 1-1.


MEN'S BASKETBALL
Notes

FOOTBALL
Last Week
Houston sophomore safety Deontay Anderson, a transfer from Ole Miss, was ruled eligible to play in 2018 by the NCAA. The Manvel, Texas, native will have three years of eligibility remaining and will be allowed to hit the field this fall after joining the Houston program in January.

Notes
Rated the No. 1 safety in the nation in 2016 by ESPN, Anderson is one of four members from the 2016 ESPN 300 list on the Houston roster, joining 2017 Outland Trophy winner Ed Oliver, Anderson’s high school teammate and current Houston quarterback D’Eriq King, and defensive end Isaiah Chambers, who is eligible this season after sitting out 2017 after transferring from TCU … Houston fans looking to join the #HTownTakeover and become new season ticket holders can do so now with new season tickets now available for purchase at UHCougars.com/tickets … 2018 season tickets for the six-game home slate start as low as $100 with any seat not sold to season ticket holders in 2017 available for purchase … A full map of the 2018 season ticket price breakdown can be found at UHCougars.com/map … The 2018 Major Applewhite Golf Tournament will take place on Monday, June 18, at the Wildcat Golf Club … The event, which benefits the Houston Football restricted fund, is set for a 12 p.m. shotgun start with registration and lunch opening at 10:30 a.m. … For more information, click here.


MEN'S GOLF
Last Week
Houston Men’s Golf senior Michael Perras was selected to compete as an individual at the NCAA Bryan Regional.

Notes
Perras, who stands at No. 45 in the latest Golfstat individual national rankings, was one of six individuals and 13 teams chosen to play at Traditions Club beginning May 14 … Perras and sophomore Zach Tracy were named to the All-American Athletic Conference Team Thursday … Perras was named to the postseason squad for the third-consecutive season, while Tracy earned the first postseason accolade of his career.


WOMEN'S GOLF
Last Week
The No. 25 Houston Women’s Golf Team competed as the No. 7 seed at the NCAA Austin Regional.

This Week
Leonie Harm at NCAA Championships | Friday — Sunday | Stillwater, Okla.

Notes
The Cougars finished 11th as a team with a 26-over 890, as junior Leonie Harm won on the seventh hole of a playoff to advance to the NCAA Championships … With the top-3 individuals not on a qualifying team earning a place at the NCAA Championships, Harm joined Michigan State’s Sarah Burnham and BYU’s Rose Huang in a playoff for the final two spots … The three players each made par on the first four playoff holes before Huang drained a birdie on the par-5 sixth hole to earn the second position … After Harm and Burnham each made par on No. 6, Harm parred No. 7 to earn her second appearance at the NCAA Championships, set for May 18-23 at Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, Okla … She became the first Cougar to compete at the NCAA Championships in 2016 after qualifying out of the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional.


SOFTBALL
Last Week
Houston Softball went 1-1 at the American Athletic Conference Championship to move to 36-20 overall, and on Sunday night, the Cougars were tabbed the No. 3 seed in the Baton Regional, hosted by No. 11 national seed LSU.

Prior to the tournament, junior Savannah Heebner was named the American Athletic Conference Co-Pitcher of the Year, as five members of the Houston Softball team garnered postseason honors … Voted on by the league's head coaches based off conference-only statistics, Heebner and sophomore third baseman Sarah Queen were named to The American First Team … Sophomore second baseman Arielle James and junior right fielder Maya Thomas were named to the second team, and freshman designated player Aspen Howie was named to the All-Rookie Team …  In addition, the Cougars garnered The American Team Academic Award with a 3.42 cumulative GPA … The award is Houston's second straight and third overall since the inception of The American … At The American Championship, the No. 2 seeded Cougars defeated No. 7 seed ECU, 3-1, on Thursday, before falling to eventual champion Tulsa, 7-3 on Friday … At the conclusion of the tournament, James and freshman designated player Tierra Williams were named to the All-Tournament Team … On Sunday night, the Cougars earned their eighth NCAA postseason berth in program history and first since 2014.


TRACK & FIELD
Last Week
Houston Track & Field swept the American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships.

Notes
The Houston men scored 172 points en route to claiming their conference crown, while the women took their championship with 113 points … For the men, the title is the 16th conference championship in program history and the 11th under Head Coach Leroy Burrell … The championship gives the Houston men three-straight outdoor championships in The American, which marks the third time in program history the team has won at least three consecutive (1997-2000 and 2009-12) conference titles … The Houston men swept the indoor and outdoor titles for the third consecutive season and the 11th time in program history … For the women, The American Championship is the first since joining the league and the first overall since 2006 … The Houston women have now won nine outdoor conference championships in school history, including six under Burrell … With the sweep of the men’s and women’s titles, Houston becomes the first program in The American to sweep each of the titles in the same year, and it is the first time Houston has accomplished the conference feat since the 2005 season … The Houston coaching staff won Staff of the Year for both the men and women … Brianne Bethel won Most Valuable Outdoor Performance for the women … For complete results, click here.
