HOUSTON -- With flooding from Hurricane Harvey inundating the Houston area and southeast Texas, Houston Athletics is focused on the safety of citizens of the city.
For those of you outside of the area looking to support the rescue and recovery efforts through charities on the ground including the Red Cross, we encourage you to do so. The Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund will accept tax deductible flood relief donations. The fund is administered by the Greater Houston Community Foundation.

Men's Basketball Donations - Head Coach Kelvin Sampson is calling upon all basketball coaches (boys' and girls high schools, men's and women's NCAA Division I, Division II and Division III and NAIA) to donate 20 of their school's T-shirts and 10 pairs of shoes to the University of Houston Men's Basketball program. All sizes and numbers will be accepted and greatly appreciated.
From there, Sampson and the Men's Basketball staff will work with officials from the Red Cross, Star of Hope and Greater Houston Community Fund/Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund to distribute to those in need.
