Dominique Sachse's Hoops & Hardball Golf Tournament Slated for Friday

HOUSTON - Dominique Sachse's Hoops and Hardball Golf Tournament, benefiting the University of Houston Athletics Department, will be held beginning at 10 a.m, Friday morning Cypresswood Golf Club.

All proceeds from the Hoops & Hardball Golf Tournament presented by KPRC Channel 2 News and Madison Benefits, will go to Cougar Pride for men's and women's basketball and baseball scholarships.

Fans can register individually for $200 or as part of a four-person team for $800. Former UH student-athletes can register for only $175. Sponsorships are available for as low as $250.

Entry fees include a golf cart, access to clubhouse facilities, a box lunch, player gifts, post-tournament dinner and a certificate for a future round of golf at Cypresswood Golf Club.

Spots are still available to compete on The Tradition Course so fans are encouraged to make their reservations soon.

A graduate of the University of Houston School of Communications, Dominique Sachse has built a successful broadcast career and received awards from the Associated Press and the Houston Press Club. She has been featured in newspapers and magazine articles and anchors the 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. news on KPRC Channel 2 in Houston.

As an active alumna, she has sat on the boards of both the Alumni Organization and the Communications Alumni Association. In 2002, she was named a Distinguished Alumni from the University.

In addition, she is involved in fundraising events for the University, especially events that support opportunities for student-athletes.
