HOUSTON - As University of Houston fans prepare for the holiday season, representatives from the UH Athletics Ticket Office announced their holiday hours during the next two weeks.

The Athletics Ticket Office will be open from 8 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, Dec. 24 before closing through Saturday for the Christmas break.

The Athletics Ticket Office will reopen at 1 p.m., Sunday for the Houston men's and women's basketball doubleheader inside Hofheinz Pavilion. The Cougar women's team starts the twinbill at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 28 against Akron, while the men's team will follow at 5 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 28 against Big 12 Conference member Iowa State.

Personnel from the Athletics Ticket Office will be located just inside the Holman Street entrance of Hofheinz Pavilion on Sunday, Dec. 28.

The Athletics Ticket Office will be open from 8 a.m., to 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 29 before closing for the New Year's holiday through Friday, Jan. 2. The Athletics Ticket Office resumes normal business hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday) on Monday, Jan. 5.

For Will Call times and locations in Fort Worth for the Cougar Football team's game against Air Force during the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl at 11 a.m., Dec. 31, fans are asked to please refer to the Bowl Central site at UHCougars.com.

Tickets for the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl and the men's and women's basketball doubleheader can be purchased during the posted holiday hours in person, by calling 7-13-GO-COOGS or online 24 hours a day at UHCougars.com.

IOWA STATE • DOUBLEHEADER WITH THE UH WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TEAM
The Cougars face Iowa State at 5 p.m., Sunday inside Hofheinz Pavilion. As of Dec., 22, the Cyclones had posted a 6-3 record.

That game will be part of a doubleheader with the women's basketball team, who faces Akron at 2 p.m. One ticket will give fans admission to both Cougar games on that day.


MASSACHUSETTS • FAN APPRECIATION DAY
UH director of athletics Dave Maggard announced that the Cougar men's basketball game against Massachusetts was moved to 1 p.m., Tuesday, to better assist fans who wished to watch the Cougar Football team face Air Force in the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl in Fort Worth on Wednesday morning.

In addition, Maggard said that the Cougars' game against UMass would be part of Fan Appreciation Day with FREE admission to all fans. Seating will be available in all areas in which season-ticket holders have not purchased tickets.

UMass has posted a 4-6 record this season as of Dec. 23 but enjoyed a 61-60 upset at No. 25/23 Kansas on Dec. 13.


HOLIDAY HOOPS AT HOFHEINZ
The Iowa State game and the Cougars' game against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Jan. 6 also are a part of "Holiday Hoops at Hofheinz".

For only $2, students of Houston-area ISDs can receive one ticket to either of those games. Students must present a valid ISD ID on game day for the discount.

Tickets also are available in advance at the UH Athletics Tickets Office.
