    Clay Harris

    Clay Harris serves as the associate general manager for Houston IMG Sports Marketing and began working with the University of Houston Department of Intercollegiate Athletics in May 2014.

    Harris, a native of Baton Rouge, La., joined IMG College in September 2012 as the general manager for Tulane IMG Sports Marketing. In this role, he was responsible for generating sponsorship revenue, maintaining the property's budget and managing the relationship between IMG College and the Tulane Athletic Department. As general manager, Harris oversaw all aspects of corporate development for the athletic department at Tulane.

    Before joining IMG College, Harris worked as the senior director of sponsor development for the National Senior Games Association in Baton Rouge, La. Joining the NSGA in August 2010 as manager of marketing & sponsor relations, he was elevated to senior director in February 2012. In those roles, he was responsible for developing integrated marketing campaigns and generating new sponsorship revenue while maintaining the existing sponsorship landscape for the organization.

    Prior to joining the NSGA, Harris worked in the Marketing & Promotions department for the NBA's New Orleans Pelicans. While with the Pelicans, he assisted with multiple aspects of game day promotions and events and sponsor activations as well as several grass root marketing campaigns. He also served as a graduate assistant in the College of Business office at Southeastern Louisiana University while earning his MBA.

    Harris received his bachelor's degree in business administration in 2009 and a Master of Business Administration in 2010, both from Southeastern Louisiana.

    He and his fiancé, Emily Smith, are set to be married in April 2015.
