Cody Crump joined the University of Houston Department of Athletics in June 2017 as director of equipment operations.
In that role, he assists with the daily and gameday operations of Houston Athletics Equipment. He oversees the daily set up and take down of the practice fields and helps lead the student equipment managers. He will also assist in transporting equipment to and from away games.
Crump, who is native of Belcher, La., joined the Cougars after spending the 2016-17 season as director of equipment operations at Northwestern State.
Prior to NSU, he served as an equipment intern at Oregon, where he assisted in day-to-day operations of the program's three equipment rooms, helped oversee game day equipment operations for 19 sports, served as the point of contact for equipment during the Women's NIT and was an active member of the NCAA track and field and softball postseason host committees.
Crump received his bachelor's degree in kinesiology from Louisiana Tech in 2015. He spent four seasons as a student equipment manager for the Bulldogs football team.
He is married to the former Lindsey Crook.
