Eric Garlow joined the University of Houston Department of Athletics in July 2015 as assistant director for development. He was elevated to director of development in August 2017.

As the administrative liaison to the Friends of BU Hockey, he assisted in the growth of the BU Hockey Coach's Cabinet ($2,500+ annual donors), which resulted in an 81 percent increase in membership.
From 2012-14, Garlow served as a sport communications and compliance assistant at Coker College and was a sports communication intern at Grand Valley State during the 2011-12 school year.
He received his bachelor's degree in public relations from Grand Valley State in 2012 and earned his master's degree in athletics administration from Coker College in 2013.
