Hailey Gilleland joined the University of Houston Athletics Department in June 2017 as assistant director for development/internal operations and stewardship.
In that role, she will work on internal fundraising efforts and manage stewardship for all Cougar Pride members. In addition, she will assist with donor appreciation and coordinate trips for Corbin J. Robertson Society members to both football and basketball games.
Gilleland, who is a native of Lakewood, Colo., came to Houston after spending the 2016-17 season as a Duke University Athletics/Iron Dukes development assistant. There, she managed data entry and donor outreach for major gifts in the University's $3 billion fundraising campaign..
Prior to arriving at Duke, she worked in the NFL for the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation and Community Relations Department, as a development intern in 2015-16.
In addition she earned her bachelor's degree in communication and information sciences with a business focus from Alabama in 2016. As an undergraduate at Alabama, she was a member of the Crimson Tide's Rowing program and served as a director for the Student Government Association.
