Jeff Schuh joined the University of Houston Sports Performance staff in January 2014 as an assistant football sports performance coach.
In that role, he assists Sports Performance Co-Director Brian Odom and guides all Football student-athletes in training programs.
Schuh first joined the Cougars in January 2012 as a Football Sports Performance intern. In addition to his football duties, he assisted other Sports Performance coaches with Men's and Women's Cross Country, Swimming and Diving, Men's and Women's Track and Field, Volleyball, Men's and Women's Basketball, Soccer, Softball and Tennis.
He received his master's degree in kinesiology from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in 2012. During the 2011-12 year, he supervised the training programs for Islander Baseball and Women's Golf and assisted with the school's Men's and Women's Basketball, Softball, Men's and Women's Tennis, Volleyball and Track and Field programs.
Schuh, who is a native of Issaquah, Wash., earned his bachelor's degree in kinesiology from Washington State in May 2010. As a Strength and Conditioning student coach, and designed and implemented the training program for Men's Golf and assisted with Baseball, Volleyball, Women's Soccer and Men's and Women's Basketball.
Schuh, whose last name is pronounced Shoe, is a certified strength and conditioning coach by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association, a certified strength and conditioning specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Associate and a sports performance coach by the United States of America Weightlifting.
He and his fiancee, Katie Belser, will be married in June 2015.
