Director of Facilities and Operations

Jeremy McDonald enters his seventh year at the University of Houston in the 2010-11 school year, and his third year as the Director of Facilities and Operations.

McDonald began his career at Houston in 2003 as a student intern in the department. After graduating in 2007, he accepted a position as the Assistant Director of Facilities and Operations before being promoted to director in the following year.

For nearly a year and a half, McDonald also served as the Interim Director of Grounds.

McDonald serves as the event manager for indoor and outdoor track and baseball, while assisting in that role with football and men's basketball. He also works as the facility manager for Cougar Field, the Tom Tellez Track Complex, the Yeoman Fieldhouse and oversees all athletic department fields.

During his time at UH, McDonald assisted with the 2010 NCAA Men's Basketball South Regional game management at Reliant Stadium and was the event manager and facility director at the 2009 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field National Championships.

He has also worked considerably with various Conference USA championships. Since 2007, he has operated as the facility and event manager of the C-USA Indoor Track and Field Championships and served as the game management and facility director for the 2010 C-USA Baseball Tournament. He also aided with game management for the 2006 C-USA Football Championship game.

A native of Cleveland, Texas, McDonald is a 2007 graduate of the University of Houston. He has a bachelor's degree in kinesiology with a focus on sports administration and a minor in business administration.
