After spending four years as a member of the Houston Athletics Marketing staff, Tory Teykl moved to her current position of Assistant Director of Football Operations in June of 2013.
In 2011, Teykl was announced as the Director for Marketing and Promotions for the UH Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. She works closely with the Associate Director for Marketing and Promotions to facilitate the day to day operations for the marketing department and also serves as the representative for football, swimming and diving, track and field and softball. In addition to being a representative for these sports, she is also responsible for their advertising, marking and supervision of in-game promotion and production.
Previously, Teykl served two years as the Assistant Director for Marketing and Promotions and worked with volleyball, soccer, men's and women's basketball, tennis and baseball. Prior to her work at Houston, Teykl was as a student assistant at Texas A&M in 2008 where she was involved in recruiting. At Texas A&M, Teykl compiled all recruiting books distributed to the coaches as well as mail outs. She also contributed to the overall event preparation and ticket sales for the Texas Bowl in 2007.
The Rosenberg, Texas, native earned her bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Texas A&M in 2007. Shortly after, she received her Masters of Science in Sports Management from A&M in 2009. Upon the completion of her master's degree, she worked for the Convention and Visitors Bureau for the city of College Station where she was a Sports Assistant. Her major contributions included the planning and implementation of the state of Texas Seven-On-Seven Football Championship and the creation of the Tournament program.
