Assistant Director of Event Marketing

Tory Teykl was recently announced the Assistant Director of Event Marketing. She is in charge of special events for the marketing department. Teykl is also the representative for soccer, women's basketball and baseball, and with these sports she is responsible for the advertising, marking and supervision of in-game promotion and production.

Previously, Teykl worked as a graduate assistant to the UH marketing department as well as a student assistant at Texas A&M in 2008 where she was involved in recruiting. She complied all the recruiting books distributed to the coaches as well as mail outs. Teykl also contributed to the overall event preparation and ticket sales of Texas Bowl in 2007.

The Rosenberg, Texas, native earned her bachelor degree in business administration and marketing from Texas A&M in 2007. She then received her Masters of Science in sports management from A&M in 2008. She worked for the convention and visitors bureau for the city of College Station where she was a sports assistant. Her major contribution included planning and implementing the state seven-on-seven football championship and also creating the tournament program.

Teykl is single and lives in Houston.
