Hey Coogs! Man, that one was right in our fingertips. We knew going in that it was going to be a defensive-minded game all night long. I think coming up one point short at Miami is actually a harder thing to deal with rather than feeling satisfied. One point shy at Miami is a hard thing to swallow for a team that was looking to run the tables. Like I said last week about having to get over the win in a hurry, well, this one has to leave our minds even faster.

I'll tell you the worst thing that we have to think about is that we think we were the better team. Although they may have had the better athletes on the field, we had more confidence, better schemes, and a heck of a lot more chemistry than Miami. Anyone who has played sports knows that those are a lot more important than who has the best athletes. We needed to stick the ball in on at least one of those first few drives, but we just had a few things go against us.

Now, we need to stay focused on our goals for the season, which were win a conference championship and win a bowl championship. This is where the senior leadership needs to step in and I guarantee it will. We are not going to let this minor slip up hold us down. We also need continued support from all of our fans if we want this season to continue to be a special one.

Go COOGS!
