The NYSP began in the summer of 1968. What started out as a youth development project for disadvantaged youth in 2 universities, has expanded to 210 campuses nationwide. NYSP provides youth the opportunity to enjoy structured sports, exciting field trips and an enjoyable education program. NYSP is a partnership enterprise that brings together the Federal Government, community leaders and top colleges and universities.

We joined with the Astros this summer to set up an educational program. We visited the stadium, met some players and gave the kids an educational baseball tour. The Astros donated 225 tickets to our program for this cause. They said we may use there logo for this purpose

We also teamed up with the Houston Comets who donated 227 tickets to our program to help emphasize the importance of Drug awareness and school.

We teamed up with University of Houston's own PBS radio station which donated 7 TV/Radio station tours.
