    Ashia Jones BS, ATC, LAT
    Hometown: Detroit, Michigan
    Current Responsibilities: Swimming & Diving
    Undergraduate: Michigan State University- BS, Athletic Training
    Undergraduate Experience: Football, East Lansing High School, Women's Basketball, MSU Physical Therapy Clinic, Track & Field, Women's Soccer High School
    Bio: Ashia Jones begins her first year at the University of Houston as an Athletic Training Intern. Her primary team responsibility is with the swimming & diving teams, however she also assists with coverage for other UH teams. Ashia received her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Michigan State University. Prior to MSU, she graduated from Ontario High School of Ontario, Ohio in 2011. After the completion of her internship, Jones plans on pursuing her masters degree. She likes to return to her hometown to visit her parents, DeLon and Jerome Hall, as well as her two brothers, sister, grandmother, other family and friends. When she's not working, she enjoys eating and sleeping.

    Yuri Ashley, BS, ATC, LAT
    Hometown: Shreveport, LA
    Current Responsibilities: Cross Country, Track and Field
    Current Pursuit: Physical Education, Emphasis in Sports and Fitness Administration
    Undergraduate: LSU- BS, Athletic Training 
    Undergraduate Experience: Softball, Football, University Laboratory High School
    Bio: Yuri Ashley enters his first year at the University of Houston as an Assistant Athletic Training Intern with Cross Country, Track and Field. Ashley received his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from LSU. A native of Shreveport, LA, Ashley graduated C.E. Byrd High School in 2010. After completion of his internship, Ashley plans on pursuing his Masters degree from the University of Houston.

    Katherine Barnes BS, ATC, LAT
    Hometown: Houston, Texas
    Current Responsibilities: Softball
    Current Pursuit: UH-MA Sports and Fitness Administration
    Undergraduate: Baylor University- BS Athletic Training
    Undergraduate Experience: Football, Women's Soccer, Baseball, Cross Country, Track & Field, Acrobatics & Tumbling
    Bio:  Katherine Barnes enters her 1st season as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at the University of Houston. Her primary team coverage is with women's softball. She also assists in sports medicine coverage with all other sports teams. Katherine serves as a preceptor for the MAT program.
    She is a native of Houston, Texas. Katherine graduated from Bellaire High School in 2010, and she continued her education at Baylor University, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training in 2014. She is currently working towards her Master's degree from the University of Houston.

    Wafaa Chatila BS,ATC,LAT
    Hometown: Grand Prairie, Texas
    Current Responsibilities: Women's Soccer
    Current Pursuit: UH-MA in Sports and Fitness Administration
    Undergraduate: Texas Christian University- BS, Athletic Training
    Undergraduate Experience: TCU Football, Women's Soccer, Women's Volleyball, Women's Basketball, Men's Basketball, Swimming and Diving, Aledo High School, Trinity Valley School, All Saints Episcopal School, and North Texas physical therapy clinic.
    Bio: Wafaa Chatila enters her first year as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at the University of Houston. Her primary team coverage is with women's soccer but also assists with other UH sports teams.
    A Texas native, Wafaa graduated from TCU with a bachelor's degree in athletic training. As an undergraduate for the horned frogs, she worked with TCU's 2010 Rose bowl champion football team as well as many other sports on campus.

    Nikki Hight, BS, ATC, LAT
    Hometown: Willis, TX
    Current Responsibilities: Swimming and Diving
    Current Pursuit: UH-MA, Physical Education, Sports and Fitness Administration 
    Undergraduate: University of Texas at Austin, BS in Athletic Training
    Undergraduate Experience: Men's Basketball, Football, Volleyball, Women's Track and Field, Leander High School (football, basketball, wrestling), Women's Swimming and Diving 
    Bio:  Nikki Hight is beginning her first year at the University of Houston as a graduate assistant athletic trainer, primarily with the Swimming and Diving team. She assists with sports medicine coverage for other UH teams. She is also pursuing a Master's at UH in Sports and Fitness Administration.
    Nikki graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BS in Athletic Training in May 2014. Prior to Austin, she graduated from Willis High School in Willis, TX in 2010.
    Nikki (formerly Hogan) is married to Casey Hight of Conroe, TX and the couple has one cat, Boo.

    Lindsey Matvey, BS, ATC, LAT
    Hometown: Mesquite, Texas
    Current Responsibilities: Volleyball and Women's Tennis
    Current Pursuit: UH-MA, Sports and Fitness Administration
    Undergrad: University of Texas at Austin- BS, Athletic Training
    Undergrad Experience: Football, Men's Basketball, Softball, Women's Soccer, Women's Tennis, Westwood High School
    Bio: Lindsey is entering her first year at the University of Houston, seeking a degree in Sports and Fitness Administration. She currently covers volleyball and women's tennis for the Cougars and also serves a preceptor for the MAT program.
    After graduating from North Mesquite High School in 2009, she went on to complete her bachelor's degree in athletic training from The University of Texas at Austin in 2014. She enjoys going back to her hometown to visit her parents, Richard and Lori Matvey, as well as her two sisters, niece, and nephew. When she's not working, she enjoys being at the lake or taking a run on trails.
