Former Houston sprinter and current Cougar graduate assistant Seun Adigun won the 100-meter hurdles at the Confederation of African Athletics Championships on Thursday. Adigun set a season-best with her 13.14 finish in the finals. Adigun, representing Nigeria at the games, completed her first year as an assistant sprints and hurdle coach at the University of Houston.

University of Houston sprinter Errol Nolan has qualified for the IAFF World Junior Championships by winning the men's 400-meter race at the USA Track and Field Junior Championships. Nolan will travel to Moncton, Canada for the international event that is set to take place from July 19-25.

The University of Houston women's 4x100 relay finished in fifth place to earn four points in the final day of the NCAA Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. With their top-eight finish, Christie Jones, Kalyn Floyd, Whitney Harris and Grecia Bolton earned All-American distinction.
