Indoor: Was the runner-up behind teammate Daniel Patton in the pole vault at the Conference USA Championships with a season-best mark of 15-11. Outdoor: Tied a Conference USA record and was the runner-up at the C-USA Championships with a vault of 16-6.75...finished in 12th place at the NCAA Midwest Regional...also was the runner up at the Houston Invitational.
2002
Indoor: Finished in third place at the Conference USA Championships...had a season-best vault of 15-9 to finish in fourth place at the Southwest Invitational. Outdoor: Finished in second place at the C-USA meet with a mark of 15-11...had a season-best vault of 16-00.75 to finish in third place at the LSU Team Invitational.

Indoor: Placed third at the Conference USA Championships with a season-best pole vault of 15-07.00...finished 13th in the pole vault at the Houston Indoor Invitational. Outdoor: Top finish came in the Open Division at Michael Johnson Classic where he placed fourth with a vault of 15-05.00...placed third in the pole vault at the Texas Southern Relays.
