Cross Country: Helped Houston win its first Conference cross country championship since 1959...finished 28th overall at the C-USA Championships...also placed 19th at the Rice Invitational. Indoor: Had a third-place finish in the 5,000 meters and an eighth-place showing in the 3,000 meters at the Conference USA Championships... posted Houston's fastest time with 8:41.64 to finish in seventh place at the Hyatt Regency Invitational...had a the team's fastest time in the 5,000 meters with 14:43.38 at the Tyson Invitational. Outdoor:Registered a third-place finish in the 5,000 meters and a fourth-place showing in the 10,000 meters at the Conference USA Championships...had season-best times of 14:42.47 in the 5,000 meters at the Penn Relays...best time in the 10K was 31:09.43 at the Rice Bayou Classic.

Cross Country: Earned All-Conference USA honors with a 14th-place finish at the C-USA Championships...was Houston's best runner at the C-USA and NCAA South Central Regional meets...best finish was fifth place at the Rice Invita-tional...registered a sixth-place finish at the Hawaíi Big Wave Classic and an eighth-place finish at the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Invitational. Indoor: Finished with a 4:32.22 in the mile at the Leonard Hilton Memorial...ran a personal-best 8:40.48 in the 3,000 meters at the Houston Indoor Invitational...finished sixth at the Razorback/Tyson Invitational with a team-best time in the 5,000 meters of 14:47.75. Indoor: Was the runner-up in the mile at the Hilton Memorial...had an eighth-place finish in the 3,000 meters at the Conference USA Championships. Outdoor: Had a fifth-place finish in the 10,000 meters 11th place in the 5,000 meters at the Conference USA Championships with a season-best times of 31:29.33 and 15:11.72...won the 5000 meters at the LSU Alumni Gold and the 3,000 meters at the Rice Twilight...was the runner-up in the 1500 meters at the Texas Southern Relays...finished in fourth place in the 1500 at the Houston Invitational.
2001-02
Cross Country: Best finish was seventh place in Houston Invitational with a time of 21:34...one of Houston's top runners at the Conference USA Championships. Indoor and Outdoor: Did not run in any meets for the season.
