Indoor: Returned from a two-year layoff to earn All-American honors in the 4x400-meter relay team...ran the anchor leg on Houston's relay team that finished in eighth place and set a school record with a time of 3:32.28 at the NCAA Championships...was the C-USA champion in the 200 meters with a time of 24.07 seconds...posted a season-best time of 23.74 seconds while winning the 200 meters at the Albuquerque Invitational...also had a sixth-place showing in the 60 meters at the C-USA Indoor meet with a time of 7.54 seconds...had a season-best time of 7.49 seconds in the prelims of the C-USA meet. Outdoor: Won the 100 meters (11.13) and the 200 meters (22.66) at the Conference USA Championships... Took the top spot in the 400 meters (51.66) at the LSU Alumni Gold Invitational... A member of the 4x100 relay team that finished first at the TSU Relays and third at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships... Ran the final leg of the second place 4x100 meter relay at the conference championships... Ran in the 4x400 meter relay that finished first at the conference championships and competed at the NCAA Championships.

Indoor: Earned Conference USA Freshman-of-the-Year honors after winning both the 200 and 400 meters...won the 200 meters with a season-best time of 23.98 seconds and won 400 meters in 54.63 seconds...her best time in the 400 meters was 54.33 at the Houston Indoor Classic. Outdoor: NCAA qualifier in the 400 meters with a seventh-place finish at the Midwest Regional Championships...advanced to the semifinals at the NCAA meet...earned Conference USA Freshman-of-the-Year honors again after winning the 400 meters in a season-best time of 52.16 seconds and finishing third in the 200 meters...best legal time in the 200 meters was 23.27 seconds in the prelims of the C-USA meet.

Texas State Champion in the 400 meters with a career-best time of 53.80... was the region champion in 2002 and a District 19-5A champion in 2001 and 2002...won the 2002 district title with a time of 55.80...was a middle blocker for the volleyball team.

Born October 31, 1983, in Detroit, Mich....major is human development...daughter of Stanley and Delissa Walton-Floyd of Houston, Texas...father was a track student-athlete at Houston and was the 1982 NCAA 100-meter champion and the 1982 NCAA 60-yard runner-up...her mother was the 1983 NCAA 800-meter champion and the NCAA indoor champion and world record holder in the 600 yards after winning the 1981 and 1982 AIAW 600-yard indoor and 800-yard outdoor national championships....chose to attend Houston over Nebraska, Tennessee and USC...hobbies include reading.
