Indoor:Placed first in the heptathlon with a personal record 4,858 points at the Howie Ryan Invitational and Multi's...Set personal best in the 60-meter dash (7.16) and the high jump (1.93m; 6-4)...Accumulated 4,736 points in his fifth-place finish at the Conference USA Indoor Championships...Set personal records in the high jump (1.93m; 6-4) and in the pole vault (3.64m; 11-11.25)... Also competed in the 60-meter hurdles at the conference meet, where he placed seventh with a time of 8.38.

2011-12 (Junior)
Indoor: Competed in the 60H, 60m and 200m... Ran a season best of 23.46 in the 200m at the 2012 adidas Classic... Set a season best in the 60H of 8.25 at the Conference USA Indoor Championships.

Outdoor: A multi event competitor, John competed in several field events including long jump, discus throw, shot put, javelin throw, high jump and paul vault; competed in multiple track events also including the 110H, 100m, 1500m, 400m, 200m and 4x1; also competed in the decathlon at the Conference USA Outdoor Championships, placing fourth...
