Outdoor: NCAA qualifier in the discus after finishing in eighth place at the NCAA Midwest Regional...was the runner-up at the Conference USA Championships after returning from a mid-season knee injury...won the discus at the Tom Tellez Invitational with a season-best throw of 191-0...also won the event at the LSU Alumni Gold and finished in fifth place at the Texas Relays...won the shot put a the Texas Southern Relays with a season-best mark of 51-4.50...finished in fourth place at the Tom Tellez Invitational.

Jones High School track team that was District Champions in 2000 and 2001...was a two-time Texas Relay Champion...State Champion in his junior and senior years...recorded a Texas Relay record distance of 199'11" and National Freshman record of 191'8" in discus...broke two school records with a discus throw of 209'6" and a shot put of 60'8".
