Indoor: Posted a third-place finish at the Conference USA Championships with a season-best vault of 4.65 meters (15-7)...won the pole vault at the Boise State Invitational.
2005
Indoor: Cleared a season-best mark of 5.13 meters (16-10) at Arkansas' Tyson Invitational...was the Conference USA champion...also finished in second place at the Leonard Hilton Memorial. Outdoor: Cleared 17 feet for the first time in his career with a mark of 5.20 meters (17-0.75) to finish in eighth place at the Texas Relays...won the Golden Bear Invitational and the Texas Southern Relays.
2004
Indoor: Did not compete. Outdoor: Registered a sixth-place finish at the Conference USA Championships with a career-best vault of 15-11...equaled his career best with a third-place finish at the LSU Relays.
2003
Indoor: Tied for fifth place at the Hilton Memorial with a season-best vault of 14-7.50. Outdoor: Did not compete.
2002
Indoor: Placed third in pole vault at the Houston Invitational. Outdoor: Won fourth place at the Conference USA Championship with a vault of 15-11.00...took sixth place at the UTEP Invitational.
High School
A top performer for the St. Joseph's Academy track team...earned a fifth-place finish in the pole vault at the 2001 Texas Relays by clearing 15-06.00...was the 2001 TAPPS State Champion in the pole vault.

Born April 2, 1983, in Brownsville, Texas...son of Bill and Martha Rusteburg of Brownsville...chose to attend UH because of the great coaching staff.
