Complete Results 
HOUSTON – Six event titles and one provisional mark propelled the University of Houston track and field team through the Houston Indoor Invitational and Multi’s on Saturday.
For the second time this season, Houston swept the men and women’s 4x400m relay. The women’s team, consisting of Kalyn Floyd, Tara Prier, Quin’shundolyn McPherson and Whitney Harris, ran the race in 3:43.37 while the men’s squad – Errol Nolan, Joseph Irabor, Tyron Carrier and Doug Kelley – crossed the finish line at 3:15.21.
Grecia Bolton won her first event of the season with a personal best of 24.53 in the women’s 200m dash. Running in Friday’s ‘B’ section, McPherson finished in third place with a time of 24.68. Also running the previous day, Prier placed fifth with a mark of 25.11. On the men’s side, Irabor ran a personal best of 22.19 to finish in third place.
Notching her second event title of the season, Nadirah Shakir leaped a personal record of 12.37m (40-07.00) in the triple jump. Her mark is ranked fifth in Houston’s all-time top-five performances. Jonathan Williams was the sole Cougar in the men’s triple. He finished sixth with a leap of 14.38m (47-02.25).
Megan Munoz set a personal record in the 5,000m run with a time of 18:19.39 – good for second place. On the men’s side, David Smith placed second with a time of 15:30.55 while Andres Santaolalla finished in sixth place, clocking 15:49.00.
Kiera Pulliam was the sole Cougar in the women’s shot put. Pulliam finished in third with a toss of 13.88m (45-06.50). For the men, Matt Dudley led Houston with a personal best of 16.34m (53-07.50). Teonor Davilmar trailed in sixth place, launching the shot put 15.88m (52-01.25).
Cameron LaCour finished third in the men’s 60m hurdles with a season-best time of 8.12. Alysha Cook led the Cougars in the women’s 60m hurdles with a time of 8.75.
Bolton earned a provisional mark with a personal record of 7.43 – good for fourth place. Harris followed in fifth place with a time of 7.47. On the men’s side, Isaiah Sweeney finished eighth, clocking 6.82.
Sweeney and Williams made their season debut in the long jump. Sweeney finished in fourth place with a mark of 7.14m (23-05.25), and Williams followed in fifth place with a distance of 7.12m (23-04.50).
In the 400m run, Clarissa Payton ran 58.64 to finish in fourth place. Ciera Johnson ran a personal best in the 800m with a time of 2:14.11 to finish in fifth place. Nate Pineda also finished fifth in the 800m, crossing the finish line at 1:58.15.
After two days of the men’s heptathlon events, Kevin Johnson finished in fifth place, collecting 4331 points. Emmanuel Osadebey finished in sixth with 4327 points.
Michael Mahnke led the Cougars in the men’s pole vault, tying for fifth place with a height of 4.60m (15-01.00). With the same mark, Derek Schutz finished in seventh place.
Kathryn Ducommun ran a season best of 5:11.01 in the mile to finish in sixth place. Laura Allred also placed sixth in the high jump, eclipsing the bar at a season best of 1.65m (5-05.00).
Up Next for the Cougars
For the first time this season, Houston will split up the team to compete in two separate events. Invited Cougars will travel to New York, N.Y., for the New Balance Invitational on Feb. 5-6. The remainder of the team will stay in town for the UH All-Comers Meet on Feb. 6.
