Colorado Springs, Colo.- - Seniors Andrew Carruthers and Jaketa West won the men's and women's 60-meter hurdles at the Air Force Open last Saturday.

Carruthers won the men's 60-meter hurdles with a time of 7.93 seconds after qualifying for the finals with the fastest preliminary time of 7.86 seconds. Ronald Broadnax finished in fourth place with a time of 8.36 seconds.

West won the women's 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.70 seconds.

Two other Lady Cougars competed in the 400-meter dash. Keisha Howard was the runner-up with a time of 54.94 seconds and Tiffany Abney finished in fourth place with a time of 58.41 seconds.
