Cameron Burrell places sixth at the NCAA Division I Indoor Championships.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Freshman Cameron Burrell placed sixth in the nation during the men’s 60-meter dash finals on Day Two of the NCAA Division I Track and Field Indoor Championships.
Burrell ran a time of 6.63 to close out his first indoor season as a Cougar.
Dentarius Locke (Florida State) won the national championship title with a time of 6.52. Burrell is now 2-1 against the senior Seminole, previously beating him at the New Mexico Cherry & Silver Collegiate Invitational (Jan. 25) on the same track and at the Arkansas Tyson Invitational (Feb. 14-15).
Houston Track and Field begins the 2014 outdoor season with a two-day meet at the UTSA Texas Challenge Invitational March 21-22 in San Antonio, Texas.
