    AUSTIN, TX - The University of Houston track and field teams post solid results at day two of the Texas Relays at Mike A. Myers Stadium on Thursday.

    The men's 4x800m relay (Drevan Anderson-Kaapa, Yonas Tesfai, Mark Fernando and Anthony Coleman) posted an impressive time of 7:26.54, as they placed fourth behind Texas A&M, Baylor and Kent State.

    Bryan Brown added another solid performance as he tied for fourth in the pole vault with his 5.05m vault.

    Nate Pineda placed seventh in his first 3,000m steeplechase competition of the season, crossing the line in 9:13.57.

    On the women's side, junior Kat Ducommun placed fifth in the 3,000m run with her time of 11:11.48.

    In day two of the women's heptathlon, Megan Frausto placed 13th, with 5,131 points. In Thursday's field events, Frausto placed sixth in the long jump with her 5.66m leap, her best performance of the seven events.

    UP NEXT
    The Cougars will return to Mike A. Myers Stadium on Friday for day three of the Texas Relays. Friday will highlight the 4x100m relays, 100m dash and 110m hurdles on the track and the long, triple and high jumps, along with the shot put in the field.

    TELEVISION SCHEDULEFriday's events from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. will be live on the Longhorn Network with additional coverage from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. and 1-2 a.m. On Saturday the channel will show coverage from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.
