Final Stats

The University of Houston track and field team closed out the Texas Relays with a pair of fifth-place finishes, a seventh-place showing and an eighth place finish in the women's 4x100-meer relay Saturday.

Andrew Carruthers finished fifth in the men's 400-meter hurdles with a time of 51.25 seconds. His time qualifies him for the NCAA Regional Championships. Carruthers also ran the first leg on Houston's 4x100-meter relay team that finished in 12th place with a time of 40.49 seconds. The other members on the relay team were Brandon Womack, Preston Perry and Carey LaCour.

Tristian Whitley had his best showing of his collegiate career when he recorded fifth-place finish after clearing 6-10.75 in the men's high jump.

Alicia Cave had a seventh-place finish in the women's 400-meter hurdles with a time of 58.99 seconds. Cave also ran the second leg of Houston's 4x100-meter relay team the finished in eighth place with a time of 45.51 seconds. Lisa Wilson, Shay Coles and LaDedra Guy also ran on the relay team.
