Houston Wins The Men's 4x200-Meter and 4x400-Meter Relays At the 59th Annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays

Austin, Texas - The University of Houston won both the University division of the men's 4x200-meter and men's 4x400-meter relay races at the 59th Annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Saturday.
Chris White, Carey LaCour, Justin McQueen and Kolee Latson combined to win the men's 4x400-meter relay race with a season-best time of 3:06.80. Houston finished ahead of Oral Roberts, who had a time of 3:07.30 and Middle Tennessee State, who finished with a third-place time of 3:08.81 and Nebraska, which finished in fourth place with a time of 3:09.01.
Preston Perry, Latson, Tremaine Smith and LaCour won the 4x200-meter race with a time of 1:21.95, edging TCU, who had a time of 1:23.20 and Sam Houston State, who had a third place finish with 1:24.17.
Perry also finished in sixth place in the University 100-meter dash finals with a wind-aided time of 10.50 seconds. The wind was just over the allowable with 2.4 meters per second. Kelly Willie of LSU won the race in 10.18, and Florida A&M's Chris Hargrett had a second-place time of 10.24 seconds.
Tristian Whitley registered an eighth-place finish in the A section of the men's high jump after clearing a season-best of 2.15 meters (7 feet, ½ of an inch), and Tom Rusteberg had a 12th-place finish in the men's pole vault after he cleared a season-best 5.05 meters (16 feet, 6¾ inches).
Jonathan Reeves had a seventh-place finish in the A Section of the men's shot put with a mark of 18.14 meters (59 feet, 6 ¼ inches) after winning the B Section last Thursday with a throw of 18.l6 meters (59 feet, 7 inches).
