Cougars Record One Third-Place Finish and Three Fourth-Place Showings On Final Day Of Texas Relays

Austin, Texas - The University of Houston had one third-place finish and three fourth-place finishes on the final day of the 78th Annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Saturday, April 9.

Houston's men's 4x400-meter relay team of Kolee Latson, Michael Francis, Termaine Smith and Carey LaCour registered a third-place finish at the Texas Relays with a time of 3:09.35.

Smith and LaCour also ran the final two legs on Houston's 4x100-meter relay team that recorded finished in fourth place with a time of 39.27 seconds.

Sesar Figueroa registered a fourth-place finish in the men's mile invitational with a time of 4:19.66.

The third fourth-place finish was by Alicia Cave in the women's 400-meter hurdles with a time of 58.34 seconds. Cave also finished sixth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 13.40 seconds.

Tristian Whitley equaled his season best jump of 7' ½" (2.15 meters) in the "A Section" of the men's high jump to finish in seventh place. Ivan Diggs had a 12th-place finish in the "B Section" of the high jump after clearing 6' 6 ¾".

The Lady Cougar tandem of Keisha Howard, Tiffany Abney, Jennifer Hunt and Cheryl Garner had a ninth-place finish in the women's 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:35.24.
