Houston Relay Teams Place At Penn Relays

Philadelphia, Pa. - The University of Houston men's track and field team had a third-place finish in the collegiate men's 4x100-meter relay with a time of 40.47 seconds.

The Cougars also had a fourth-place finish in the men's 4x200-meter Championship of America relay with Carey LaCour, Preston Perry, Michael Francis and Stanford Routt combining for a time of 1:24.30.

In the women's college 4x400-meter relay race, Houston had a fifth-place finish with a time of 3:39.85.

Houston returns home to host the Tom Tellez Invitational on Saturday, May 1-Sunday, May 2. The meet begins with the men's and women's javelin, pole vault and hammer at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The rest of the field events and all running events will be on Sunday, May 2.
