DES MOINES, Iowa Junior Seun Adigun advanced to the 100-meter hurdles semifinals at the 2008 NCAA Track and Field Championships on Thursday at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa.

Adigun qualified after recording a new personal best time of 13.39 in the preliminaries. She will compete in the semifinal round, which is slated to start at 7:55 p.m. on Friday.

After setting the fastest time in the 200-meter dash in Conference USA this season, freshman Tyrone Carrier advanced to the event's semifinals, recording a time of 20.96 in the prelims. However, Carrier's time of 21.30 in the semis was not good enough to advance to the finals.

In the 4X400-meter relay, Houston's team of sophomore Quin'shundolyn McPherson, freshman Candyce Cross, junior LaNeeka Allen and freshman Kalyn Floyd posted a time of 3:42.02 in the prelims. Their time did not qualify for the finals.
