Track & Field's Adigun Advances to Semis at NCAA Championships
June 12, 2009 FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Senior Seun Adigun led a trio of Cougars qualifying for event semifinals on the track Thursday during the NCAA Outdoor Championships at John McDonnell Field in Fayetteville, Ark. Adigun, the 2009 Conference USA Female Track Athlete of the Year, finished fourth in the 100 hurdles prelims with a time of 13.29 to advance to Friday's semifinal, which will be held at 5:55 p.m. (CDT). Sophomore Tyron Carrier advanced to the 200m semis, turning in a time of 20.97 in the prelims. But, Carter would fall short of qualifying for the finals after recording a time of 21.75 in the semifinal. Freshman Grecia Bolton also advanced to the 200m semifinal, clocking a time of 23.51 in the prelims but would also fall short of advancing to the finals, finishing the second round with a time of 23.34.
