Sophomore Issac Williams earned All-America second team honors Thursday evening at the NCAA National Championships.

Eugene, Ore. - Sophomore hurdler Issac Williams highlighted the University of Houston track and field team's performance during day two of the 2014 NCAA Division I National Championships in Eugene, Ore.
Williams recorded a 13.83 in the men's 110-meter hurdles semifinals to finish 11th in the competition. He would not advance to the finals, but earned All-America second team honors for his finish.
On the women's side, junior Sade-Mariah Greenidge took 18th place with a time of 13.55 in the women's 100m hurdles.
The final competitor for the Cougar men's team is junior triple jumper John Horton. He is set to compete on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. (CT) against the nations best triple jumpers. Horton came into nationals with the ninth best leap in the West region. He jumped a personal best of 15.79m (51'-9.75") to punch his ticket to nationals.
