Track Concludes Day Two of New Balance Invitational

Houston, Texas- - The University of Houston men's and women's track and field teams will serve as hosts for the Tom Tellez Invitational Track and Field Meet on Saturday-Sunday, May 1-2, at the Carl Lewis/Tom Tellez Track Complex.

The meet will begin with the men's and women's pole vaults, javelin throws and hammer throws at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.

The men's and women's long jumps and shot puts will start at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday followed by the men's and women's triple jumps, high jumps and discus throws at 3:00 p.m.

The running events will begin with the women's 4x100-meter relay at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday and conclude with the men's 4x400-meter relay at 5:40 p.m.

Teams from Houston, Lamar, Rice, Texas Southern, Prairie View A&M, Texas State-San Marcos, UTSA, McNeese State and Northwestern State. Former UH All-American Jenny Adams also is scheduled to compete on Sunday in the women's 100-meter hurdles and long jump.

The results for the meet will be posted on the www.UHCougars.com website following each day's events.
