Track & Field Heads to Sam Houston Twilight

HUNTSVILLE, Texas - The University of Houston track and field team will make a quick trip up Interstate-45 to compete in the Sam Houston Twilight at Meredith York Track and Field Stadium on Thursday.

The field for this one-day meet will be comprised of student-athlete from Houston, Northwestern State, North Texas, Rice, and Texas Southern.

Field events will begin at 1 p.m. with the men's and women's discus, while the running events are slated to begin with the men's and women's 4x100-meter relay at 6:30 p.m. The meet will conclude at 9:15 p.m. with the men's and women's 5,000-meter run.

The Cougars travel across town to Rice to compete in the Conference USA Outdoor Championships on May 9-12.

6:40 p.m. - 400m Hurdles
6:55 p.m. - 400m Dash
7:15 p.m. - 100m Dash
7:30 p.m. - 100m Hurdles (Women), 110m Hurdles (Men)
7:50 p.m. - 800m Run
8:05 p.m. - 200m Dash
8:30 p.m. - 1500m Run
8:55 p.m. - 4x400m Relay
9:15 p.m. - 5,000m Run
