HOUSTON - Errol Nolan was named the Conference USA Track Co-Athlete of the Year as the league office announced Thursday afternoon.

The junior claimed his third-straight 400m, and second-straight 200m, C-USA title earlier this year en route to Houston winning their fourth-consecutive league crown.

Nolan was named Second Team All-American in the 400m after finishing ninth at the NCAA Championships. His time of 45.28 was the second fastest in school history.

The Rosenberg, Texas, native also earned distinction on Houston's 4x400m relay team as they received Honorable Mention All-American status at the national championship.

Nolan shared the C-USA Track Athlete of the Year award with senior Carl Stones of Tulsa.

This is the fourth year Conference USA has awarded a Female and Male Track Athlete of the Year and Field Athlete of the Year. Previous Houston winners include Chris Carter (2011, Field Athlete of the Year) and Seun Adigun (Track Athlete of the Year).
