UH To Host All-Comers Track and Field Meet

The University of Houston will host an All-Comers Track and Field Meet on June 24 at the Carl Lewis/Tom Tellez International Track and Field Complex.

The field events begin at 3:00 p.m., and running events start at 6:00 p.m., with a rolling schedule for both field and running events. Entry fees are $15 per individual with unlimited entries. All running events will be divided into heats at the starting line. Competitors in field events must check in 30 minutes before the scheduled starting time.

The field events include the men's and women's pole vault at 3:00 p.m., men's and women's javelin throws at 4:00 p.m., and the shot put competitions will follow. The men's and women's long jumps are scheduled for 4:00 p.m., followed by the triple jumps at 6:00 p.m.. In addition, the men's and women's high jump and discus throws start at 6:00 p.m.

The running events include the men's and women's 1500 meters, 100 and 110-meter hurdles, 400-meters, 100-meters, 800 meters, 400-meter hurdles and 200 meters.

Schedule: We will follow a rolling schedule for both field events and running events. Field events will be skipped if competitors do not arrive at least 1/2 hour prior to their event.

Event Heating: All events will be heated at the start line. The clerk will heat competitors according to ability beginning 10 minutes prior to the event.
