Indoor: Season-best time in the 800 meters at the Leonard Hilton Memorial with a time of 1:54.65. Outdoor: Posted a second place finish at the Sam Houston Tune Up with a season-best time in the 800 meters of 1:52.40...finished ninth at the Conference USA Championships in the 1500 meters.

Indoor: Had a season-best 800-meter time of 1:55.05 in a ninth-place finish at the Houston Indoor Invitational...member of the distance medley relay team that placed fifth at the C-USA Championships. Outdoor: Finished 13th in the 800 meters at the Tellez Invitational with a time of 1:56.73...ran a season-best time of 4:03.29 to win the 1,500 meters at the Adidas Houston Invitational.

Born January 25, 1982, in Buffalo, New York...son of Bradford and Carol Winstel of Grand Island...his brother, Justin, was a national junior college track champion in 1999...also recruited by Charleston Southern, Rhode Island and Massachusetts...likes to play softball and Canadian-American soccer during the summer.
