Cross Country finishes 6th and 7th at Baylor Twilight Invitational

Houston - After an hour delay due to inclement weather, the University of Houston women's team took sixth and the men placed seventh in the Baylor Twilight Invitational August 31 on the Baylor Intramural Field in Waco, Texas. Senior Oumama Hallal led the way for the Houston women with a time of 15:07.3 finishing 26th overall. Kelcee Keenan placed 34th with a time of 15:29.8 with teammate Jessica Cook finishing close behind with a time of 15:33 to place her 38th. Erica Hanneman came 41st running a 15:41.9 while Jasmine Trier rounded out the women's runners with a time of 16:30.1 (57th). Sophomore Daniel Martinez was out front for the Cougar men notching in a time of 19:12.4 in the six-kilometer for a 19th place finish. Ahmed Harb placed 24th after a time of 19:20.6, Nathan Trimble ran a 20:37.7 for a 54th place finish and Anthony Keller finished 60th with a time of 20:54.6. The Houston men were rounded out by 65th placed Adrian Slusher and his time of 21:20.9. The cross country team will compete in their next meet on Sept. 14 at UTEP in the Lori Fitzgerald Invitational.
