Due to the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon, the University of Houston cross country teams will not be competing at the Rice Invitational and Texas Invitational on Saturday.

The UH men's team was slated to compete in the Rice Invitational, but the Rice administration cancelled all athletics events through Sunday, September 16.

The UH women's team was scheduled to run in the Texas Invitational at Austin, but that meet was also postponed by UT Athletics Department officials. The Texas Invitational may be rescheduled for a later date.
