Cougar Cross Country Team Finishes in 17th Place at Notre Dame Invitational
Oct. 3, 2004 South Bend, Ind.- - The University of Houston men's cross country team finished in 17th place at the Notre Dame Invitational on Friday, October 1 at South Bend, Ind. In a meet that included 24 overall teams and nine of the nation's top 25 cross country teams, Stanford won both the men's and women's team title while the host school, Notre Dame finished in second place in the men's race. Houston top runner was junior Sesar Figueroa who finished in 55th place when he completed the eight-kilometer course with a time of 24:44. Sophomore Derek York had a time of 24:46 to finish in 62nd place, junior Tyler Stanfield posted a time of 24:54 and finished in 74th place. Senior Cole Dailey finished in 166th place with a time of 26:18.
