    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The University of Houston cross country team came out strong against four other teams at the Sam Bell Invitational in Bloomington, Ind., this weekend.

    Both the men and women finished the meet in third place. Sophomore Stephanie Aldea took home seventh place with a time of 22:11.

    The leader for the men's side, sophomore Nate Pineda, completed the course with a time of 26:52.

    Next up, the University of Houston is set to host the 2009 Conference USA Men¹s and Women's Cross Country Championships on Oct. 31, at the Bear Branch Park in The Woodlands, Texas.
