HOUSTON -- Head Coach Steve Magness and the Houston Cougar Men's and Women's Cross Country programs are excited to announce the competition schedule for the upcoming 2017 season.
The Cougars will race four times within the state of Texas in 2017 while traveling twice to Kentucky and Pennsylvania for out-of-state meets.

From there, the Cougars head to Rice to compete in the annual Norry Hersey Rice Invitational on Sept. 8. After a 15-day break, Houston wraps the opening month of competition with a trip to College Station, Texas, for the Texas A&M Invitational on Sept. 23.
The Cougars head out of Texas for a pair of meets in the month of October, beginning with the Pre-National meet, hosted by Louisville on Oct. 14. Houston opens postseason competition two weeks later with a trip to Philadelphia and the 2017 American Athletic Conference Championships on Oct. 28.
Houston's penultimate meet will see them trek back to College Station to compete in the NCAA South Central Regional, hosted by Texas A&M on Nov. 10. Following the regional, the Cougars will once again head to Louisville, Ky., to run in the NCAA Championships on Nov. 18.
