Fifteen Student-Athletes Receive Conference USA Academic Medal

HOUSTON, Texas -- University of Houston junior Mike Olague has been named the Conference USA men's cross country Athlete-of-the-Week after winning the Whataburger UTSA Invitational on September 22.

Olague completed the course in 20:42 as he led Houston to the men's team title to outdistance teammates Tartou Kargou and Jared Kuntz. Kargou finished second with a time of 21:31 and Kuntz made his Cougar debut by finishing third in 21:35.

Junior Gary Skinner finished fifth in a time of 21:59.

Olague will lead Houston in action on September 30 when the Cougars travel to Stillwater, Okla., where they will compete in the Oklahoma State Invitational.
