HOUSTON – The Houston Athletics Department will give one lucky auction winner and a guest the ultimate Houston Football spring game experience this year. Beginning Friday, March 29, at 1 p.m. and running until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, Houston fans can bid on a package on UHCougars.com that includes the opportunity to call the game’s first offensive play with new offensive coordinator Doug Meacham at the game on Friday, April 12.
After pulling up to a reserved parking space in front of the Athletics/Alumni Center, the auction winner and guest will join the team for its pregame meal with two seats at the coaching staff’s table. Following the meal, the two will head upstairs to head coach Tony Levine’s office for a meet-and-great with the second-year leader.
The winner and guest will then head out to Carl Lewis Field to pick up their two VIP field passes and take in pregame activities before meeting with Meacham and picking the first offensive play of the spring game. UHCougars.com recommends picking a touchdown.
The 2013 Houston Football spring game is slated to begin at 7 p.m. Houston Athletics Department officials will contact the auction winner for the exact arrival time but bidders should plan on an estimated arrival of 3-4 p.m.
All proceeds from the auction will benefit Cougar Pride.
