HOUSTON -As construction on TDECU Stadium continues, University of Houston Athletics and Cougar Pride administrators released policies and deadlines for fans to take part in CougaRVillage for the 2014 Football season.
Access to CougaRVillage is offered exclusively to Cougar Pride donors at the Cougar's Club level ($2,500-$4,999) and above. Spaces will be allocated based on the Cougar Pride Priority Point System. Passes are being sold on a seasonal basis for $1,000 per vehicle. Due to limited space, only one RV pass will be available per account and only one vehicle will be permitted to enter the lot with an RV pass.
"We appreciate our fans' patience with our policies for CougaRVillage. Due to the ongoing construction at TDECU Stadium, the uncertainty of the design of the surrounding stadium parking lots made it challenging for our staff to finalize this information," Assistant Athletics Director for Development Brian Crawford said. "We look forward to a exciting 2014 football season, and CougaRVillage will be a fun place for our fans as they prepare for home games every week."
All requests and donations must be received by 5 p.m., Friday, Aug. 8. Fans are invited to reserve the places by visiting UHCougars.com/RV or by clicking here. For questions and additional tailgate information, fans should call Cougar Pride at 713-743-Go-UH (4684) or email email@example.com.
CougaRVillage will be located in Lot 12B at the corner of Scott Street and Holman Street on the UH campus. Lot 12B will open at least four hours prior to game time on game days.
FAN APPRECIATION DAY AND COUGAR YOUTH EXPERIENCE
Houston Athletics will hold its annual Fan Appreciation Day and Cougar Youth Experience from 3:30-5:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 2, prior to Houston Football's first practice of the season, which is open to the public at 6 p.m.
Coaches and players from the Houston Football, Soccer and Volleyball programs will be available inside the Athletics/Alumni Center (3100 Cullen Blvd.) during the two-hour time period for autograph signings, photos and to help run the Cougar Youth Experience where Houston's younger fans will have the opportunity to compete in individual athletic drills much like today's student-athletes. Due to NCAA regulations, the Cougar Youth Experience is only available for those in eighth grade or younger.
2014 Houston Football season ticket holders will have the first opportunity to receive the autographs they covet as at each of the autograph stations, a season ticket holder fast lane will be in use for the 4:25 p.m. start. Those fans without season tickets at each station will begin collecting autographs after the initial season ticket holder fast lane has emptied.
