Cougar Pride
Cougar Pride Parking Information

The University of Houston is finalizing plans to build a parking garage in lot 15D (Yellow) which would eliminate 1,079 spaces during construction. The project is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2011 and end prior to the 2012 football season. Please take the time to closely read the parking information.

What changes will occur for the 2011 season with a parking garage under construction?
Access to all parking lots will be based on priority point totals if demand exceeds supply in a particular parking area. Also, parking lots will be referred to by their lot number and not a color. For example, the yellow lot, will now be lot 15D.

How does my annual gift affect my parking location?
The adjacent parking map details the minimum contribution level for each parking location. The minimum donation to be considered to park in the lots adjacent to Robertson Stadium will be $500. Donors who give at the $250 level will park in lot 16C (Blue) for the 2011 season.

The H Association
Based on 2010 parking permit allocation, is there any idea on where I may park?
Yes. Based on 2010 totals, all donors who gave $2,500 or more should receive the same parking opportunities as last year. It is expected that most, if not all, of the spaces in 15D will be allocated to All-American Club ($1,000-$2,499) donors. All-Conference Club donors ($500-$999) should have access to lots 15F (Teal) and 12A-South. There is a possibility that some All-Conference Club donors may be allocated parking in lots 16B/C (Blue) depending on availability. Most Captain's Club members ($250-$499) will receive a parking pass in lot 16 B/C, although some Captain's Club members may receive a pass in lot 16D. All parking allocation will be based on priority points and donations (see pages 9-10). It is important that all donors make their donations by the June 15 deadline. Priority will be given first to Cougar Pride donors with season tickets who have their donations in by the deadline. All donors who give after the deadline will be awarded parking after all other permit requests are filled.

What happens if more donors give the minimum contribution than there are parking spots available at a specific donation level?
Parking pass distribution will be based on priority points within your donor category. If a lot is full, the donors with the lowest priority point total will be moved to the next available lot. For example: A donor who has consecutive years of giving and gave $500 or more will have more priority points than a donor with a first-time donation of $500 and therefore, would have a higher priority for available lots.

I see that three parking lots have a $500-$2,499 minimum donation. How do you assign who gets in each lot?
Parking lots will be assigned based on priority points as of June 15 in the following order: 1. Lot 15D (Yellow) 2. Lot 15F (Teal) 3. Lot 12A South (Orange)

I like to tailgate next to my friends. Can I make sure we receive passes in the same parking lot?
Yes. You can make your request in writing to Cougar Pride by June 15 and let them know with whom you would like to receive passes with. Parking pass locations will be based on the lowest priority point total in your group.

What happens if I make my Cougar Pride donation after the June 15 deadline?
You will receive the best parking that is still available based on your Cougar Pride donation level. If you donate after June 15 your parking pass may not arrive with your season tickets.

If I make a gift toward a capital project or a sports-specific fund, will that gift count toward parking benefits?
No. Only Cougar Pride gifts will count toward your parking benefits. Capital and sports-specific gifts will increase your priority points, thus increasing the likelihood you will receive parking in a requested area.

Will fans who park in lots 16B and 16C (Blue) receive any extra benefits?
Yes. A shuttle will run from lot 16B/C to the stadium starting two hours prior to the game and run until one hour after the game.

How do I buy extra parking passes?
Place a request for additional parking passes by June 15. The cost for additional passes in the lots surrounding Robertson Stadium will be $100 per pass. Additional passes in lots 16B/C (Blue lot) will be $30. Additional passes will not be charged to your account until June 15 after it is determined in which lot you will receive parking based on your donation level and priority points. Any passes requested after June 15 will be based on availability. Please see the graph to determine how many passes you may purchase.

What is needed to bring a RV to home football games?
Houston Athletics requires a minimum $1,000 annual donation to Cougar Pride to purchase a reserved RV location in the Tailgate Village. Donors who give between $250-$999 will have the opportunity to purchase a pass in lot 16B (Blue). For the 2011 season, 15 RV passes will be distributed in Tailgate Village. Distribution will be based on priority points. All RV holders who have made their donation by the deadline, but do not receive a pass in Tailgate Village will receive a pass in lot 15D (Yellow). Any RV requests after the deadline will receive a pass in the best available location. With the donation requirement, a parking pass purchase of $180 for the season is required. All other RVs will be directed to cash lots on game day.

How will the parking garage affect basketball parking?
Due to the construction of the parking garage in conjunction with games being played during scheduled class times, information for basketball season donor permit parking will be released at a later date.
