SEASON RECAP: Houston Baseball

    2015 marked another banner season for Houston Baseball as the program accomplished its second straight 40-win season, won the American Athletic Conference title and hosted an NCAA Regional at Cougar Field under Regional Coach of the Year Todd Whitting.

    Whitting Honored as Regional Coach of the Year

    After leading Houston Baseball to an American Athletic Conference title and to a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament, head coach Todd Whitting has been honored as the ABCA/Diamond South Central Regional Coach of the Year, announced by the organization on Tuesday.

    Romero Earns Fourth Freshman All-America Honor

    The resume continues to build for freshman Seth Romero as he garnered his fourth postseason award, being named a First Team Freshman All-American by Perfect Game, announced by the organization on Wednesday.

    Andrew Lantrip Named a Third Team All-American

    After leading Houston Baseball to an American Athletic Conference title and to a Top 20 national ranking, sophomore Andrew Lantrip became the first All-American for the program since 2006 after the right-handed pitcher was named a Third Team All-American by Perfect Game on Tuesday..
