The USA Baseball Collegiate National Team, led by Houston right-hander starting pitcher Jake Lemoine, posted yet another shutout, its fifth in the last seven games, as it cruised past Chinese Taipei, 3-0, in the final game of the double round-robin portion of Honkbal Week at Pim Mulier Stadium on Friday.
Houston Baseball right-handed pitcher and current Team USA member Jake Lemoine earned the respect of college baseball fans across the nation when he was voted the 2014 Premier Player of College Baseball, presented by The Premier Players Sports Foundation.
After wrapping up a banner season with a 48-18 overall record, Houston Baseball was recognized for that success, polling in as high as No. 11 in the nation in four national college baseball polls.
